Water Analysis

Groundwater studies often use field portable water analysis systems. The Center has an ICM model 51601 field-portable water analyzer. This device includes a datalogger and 2 inch probe with 10 feet of cable. The probe can be lowered into standard 2 inch PVC sample well casings to obtain readings of pH, conductivity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen (the unit has automatic barometric pressure compensation). The Center also has a smaller hand-held Corning M107 pH meter that can be carried anywhere.
