Tools ranging from hip chains to Global Positioning Systems are available for measuring and mapping projects. For high precision line surveying we have a Leitz TM6 theodolite (a 6" instrument) and a Leitz RED2A Electronic Distance Meter (a 5mm unit). For plot location and GIS mapping applications we have a Trimble ProXL GPS unit with real-time correction for sub-meter accuracy.
