Field Stations
What is a field station?
No matter their official names -- experiment stations, research
farms and complexes, or experimental forests -- all are part of
a network of campus laboratories and off-campus field research facilities
that make up the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station at Michigan
State University. Research projects at the field stations range
from forestry, field crops and fruit to beef and dairy cattle, potatoes
and equine breeding. Each station focuses its research on the agricultural,
natural resources and rural community needs of its particular location.
Stations also have field
days and special events.
