Mission Statement The mission of the MSU Trevor Nichols Research Complex (TNRC) is to carry out applied fruit pest management research in cooperation with MSU scientists (Tree and Small Fruit Entomologists and Pathologists) and serve as an extension information hub for Michigan fruit industry's pest management decision-makers. The research objectives for the TNRC are to develop effective fruit pest management strategies for Michigan's fruit industry, in concert with agriculture commodity organizations, agribusiness, Michigan Agriculture Experiment Station and MSU Extension, in accordance with the land-grant philosophy of Michigan State University. The TNRC fruit pest management web page emphasizes providing the most current and critical fruit pest and pest management information available, stemming from the research programs taking place at the TNRC. This includes product performance information from research conducted on new reduced-risk pesticide chemistries, the status of new pesticide registrations, insect pest emergence and life-cycle information, disease infection periods and weather summaries from the TNRC weather station.
