Cropping system research
Cropping systems and crop rotation research have been carried on since the inception of the farm.  Crops used have been drybeans, sugarbeets, alfalfa, corn and small grains.
Small plot soil fertility research
The uniformity of soil at the research farm makes it an ideal location for small plot soil fertility research.
