Research aimed at improving stand establishment of sugarbeets is a current priority at the farm.
Sugarbeet research to improve disease control
Research aimed at improving disease control through chemical and cultural methods is also carried on at the farm.  Breeding for improved disease resistance and tolerance is used as well.

Primary goals of sugarbeet research at the farm are to maintain good stands throughout the growing season and to increase sugar content and yield.
