Find Barbeau, MI (East of State Highway 129 and West of Neebish Island). The easiest access is from the Kinross exit on Interstate 75. You can click on this small map to receive an Adobe Acrobat version for viewing or printing. From Barbeau, MI travel east on 15 Mile Road. Continue until you reach the water and then turn left (or north) on Scenic Drive. Follow Scenic Drive to the Charlotte River and the administrative area of Dunbar Forest. About half the forest is on Neebish Island. Access to Neebish Island is by car ferry. The schedule for the ferry must be obtained in advance of crossing, or you may wish to take camping equipment -- just in case.
